About
Anne Katrine Senstad is a visual artist, researcher, curator and producer. Her multi-disciplinary practice spans over 2 decades and is anchored in the intersection of installation art, photography, film and video, neon sculpture and light based spatial installations, text based art, land art, and site specificity, with a focus on the phenomena of perception and our cognitive system in response to the properties of light, sound, and color. She is concerned with semiotic narration, sensorial aesthetics, ethics, and criticism, – the transformative and the transcendental ideas of art and philosophical practices. Senstad’s long term research and critical projects, are concerned with the humanities, social-political spaces, and culture, working through uncharted realms and amalgamations for a new folklore.
