The Chiasm Collage series (2025) utilizes variations of print methods to present select collaged works created from extracted visual material from Senstad’s audio-visual video trilogy Chiasm of Lament , where the treatment of the video still images become new works of art, departing from the moving image itself. The collaged studies represent the audio-visual experience while simultaneously presenting images or sequences of images that remain in the minds eye when the moving images have stopped and what remains is the poetry and the aftermath of the visual sonic experience and journey. The works present compositions of light particles and noise, topologies of the infinitesimal, and ambiguous, melancholic beauty, where spheres merge with vortexes, sound elements and digital disruption.
